Il 4 Ottobre 2014 il 51° Stormo ha festeggiato il 75° anniversario dalla sua costituzione. Per l'occasione l'Aeroporto Militare di Istrana, base del 51° Stormo, ha aperto le porte al pubblico. Accanto alla mostra statica di alcuni velivoli dell'AMI, in uno shelter della base, è stato allestito il Virtual 51° Day. Il 51° Stormo EAF, il VFG ed il 22° Gruppo CIO Virtuale hanno intrattenuto i visitatori, che hanno potuto provare i nostri simulatori di volo. Nel corso della giornata è stato inoltre proiettato un breve filmato, realizzato con IL2 Sturmovik da EAF331_Stuntman, ambientata nel 1944, che riproduceva una missione di guerra dei Macchi C.2015V del 51° Stormo (Regia Aeronautica Cobelligerante - ICAF) sul territorio Jugoslavo.
On 4 October 2014 the 51° Stormo (Wing) of the Italian Air Force celebrated their 75th anniversary. The military airport base of Istrana, where 51° Stormo is based, has been open to the visitors. Near the static exibition of the main Italian Air Force fighters, ina shelter of the airbase, took place an event called Virtual 51° Day, wherw EAF51, VFC and 22° Virtual CIO offered to visitors the possibility to test our flight simulator. A short movie, realized with IL2 Sturmovik by EAF331_Stuntman, was also projected on a big screen. The movie was representing a CAP mission of the Macchi c.205 Veltro of 20° Gruppo, 51° Stormo, Italian Co-Belligerant Air Force (ICAF) over the Balcans in 1944 .
